Truss Framing Over an Existing Roof

New truss framing going up over the existing roof.

This job added new roof framing on top of an existing roof. The building had green metal panels over older dark shingles. With part of the metal pulled back, we set new wood trusses right on top of the existing roof, lined up in a row.

Once the trusses were standing, we ran boards across them to tie the row together and keep it straight. The photos show the new framing in place over the old roof, ready for the next stage.
